A Cause for Claws Thrift Store is a 501c3 non-profit animal welfare organization established to help fund the Spay and Neuter Clinic of Bismarck and Mandan.

A Cause for Claws Thrift Store is the primary source of funding for our spay/neuter programs. When you donate your tax-deductible items, or shop at our thrift store, you’re helping to provide financial aid to those who would otherwise be unable to spay or neuter their pets. This reduces the number of unwanted litters and as a result, reduces the number of animals entering our local shelters and impounds.

Proceeds from the store are also used for food, medical care and shelter for animals needing or looking for a home. We also help support our community partners and spearhead educational programs dedicated to preventing homeless pets including adoption events. The items or money you donate is used in saving lives and helping animals in need.

Please shop at our store and feel good knowing that every dollar you spend will bring us all closer to the day when there are No More Homeless Pets.

A Cause for Claws Thrift Store is open from 10am - 6pm, Monday-Friday, Saturday 10am-5pm at the corner of South 12th and 1222 Basin Ave.(University Dr.)Bismarck (701-751-5828) We need volunteers to sort, test, repair, and set-up store displays
